Kim Burrell, D.O.
Dr. Kim Burrell of Centennial Eye & Cosmetic Associates practices the philosophy of educating patients so they can be actively involved in their own eye health. In both her Aurora and Denver, Colorado locations, Dr. Burrell, a board-certified ophthalmologist, provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art ophthalmology services specializing in cosmetics and the diagnosis and treatment of dry eyes.
She also excels in the many aspects of refractive eye surgery. Having studied under several prominent LASIK and cosmetic surgeons, Dr. Burrell’s attention to detail, an aesthetic eye, and her gifted hands have allowed he to offer patients incredible, often unparalleled results after LASIK and cosmetic surgeries.
Dr. Burrell is board-certified by the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Burrell’s work has been published, and an Associate Professor, she has taught medical students in both academic and clinical environments.
Dr. Burrell is passionate about her work as an ophthalmologist and providing cosmetic and surgical ophthalmology services to patients of all ages in the Aurora and Denver communities. She provides comprehensive eyecare in a friendly environment and strongly believes in educating patients so they can make the most of their own eye health and overall well-being.
JoAnna Vrotsos, OD
Dr. JoAnna Vrotsos is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but her upbringing moved her around the country to places like Cleveland, Ohio, Buffalo, New York, and eventually out to sunny southern California. She graduated from Summit High School in 2019 and attended the California State Polytechnic University- Pomona, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology.
While at Cal Poly, she was a member of the Pre-Optometry Club for two years and was also an active member of both the Tri-Beta Honor Society and the Golden Key Honor Society. She went on to attend the Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating Cum Laude in 2019 with a Doctorate of Optometry degree. After graduating, her family landed here in Denver where she moved and is now settled.
Dr. Vrotsos values independent healthcare that is carefully tailored to meet each patient’s unique, individual needs. She encourages patient involvement and values the importance of patient education in managing ocular health. She has strong interests in primary care, contact lenses, ocular pathology, technological advances, and community outreach. Outside of optometry her interests include hiking, photography, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, and collecting rare houseplants!
