Kim Burrell, D.O.
Ophthalmologist
Dr. Kim Burrell of Centennial Eye & Cosmetic Associates practices the philosophy of educating patients so they can be actively involved in their own eye health. Dr. Burrell, a board-certified ophthalmologist, provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art ophthalmology services specializing in cosmetics and the diagnosis and treatment of dry eyes.
She also excels in the many aspects of refractive eye surgery. Having studied under several prominent LASIK and cosmetic surgeons, Dr. Burrell’s attention to detail, an aesthetic eye, and her gifted hands have allowed her to offer patients incredible, often unparalleled results after LASIK and cosmetic surgeries.
Dr. Burrell is board-certified by the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Burrell’s work has been published, and as an Associate Professor, she has taught medical students in both academic and clinical environments.
Dr. Burrell is passionate about her work as an ophthalmologist and providing cosmetic and surgical ophthalmology services to patients of all ages in Aurora and surrounding communities. She provides comprehensive eyecare in a friendly environment and strongly believes in educating patients so they can make the most of their own eye health and overall well-being.
In her personal time, Dr. Burrell loves hanging out with her horse Dallas and traveling the world with her husband Paul. Dr. Burrell and Dallas compete in horse shows all over the nation and are quite good. Both Dr. Burrell and her husband used to race Porsches and she has some fun stories to tell!
Eric Van Meter, O.D.
Optometrist, Dry Eye Specialist
A Colorado Native, Dr. Van Meter is an alumnus of the University of Colorado, Boulder where he double majored in Biochemistry and Integrative Physiology with a minor in Chemistry. He earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University where he was selected as President of Midwestern’s chapter of the International Gold Key Optometric Society.
Dr. Van Meter focuses each exam on serving every patient that he sees. His professional interests include dry eye, ocular disease and surgical management, scleral contact lenses, double vision disorders, and pediatrics.

Outside of work, Dr. Van Meter loves spending time with his wife and children. He enjoys many outdoor activities including hiking, cycling, skiing, and mountaineering. Dr. Van Meter has climbed Denali and Mount Logan, the highest and second highest points in North America.
